About Us

The core funding for Center Domain-Specific Computing (CDSC) is provided by the National Science Foundation with an award in the 2009 Expedition in Computing Program.   This program, established in 2008 by NSF Directorate for Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE), provides the CISE research and education community with the opportunity to pursue ambitious, fundamental research agendas that promise to define the future of computing and information and render great benefit to society. Funded at levels of up to $2 million per year for five years, the Expeditions programs represent some of the largest single investments currently made by the NSF CISE directorate.
